Possibly getting somewhere, TOUCHWOOD

Just came back from the Drs. I asked her for my B12 and folate results these are the following

B12 1198 (220-770)

Folate 13.6 (2.6-17.3)

These were tested on 06.04.2022 so a bit out of date, but as you can see the B12 was over range.

I have also got a new thyroid function blood test booked for 10.05.2022 I asked that they also test t3. However she was saying the hospital will probably only test TSH/T4. If thats the case I will buy a monitor my health kit in the near future. Along with that blood test I have also asked to have a coeliac blood test on the same day. I also had to do a stool test today which was fun. Currently been on lower dosage since 02.04.2022. In the last few days I have noticed the off balanced symptom isn't there all the time. Yes I still have it but I have gaps where I feel not as bad touch wood.

Hoping to get sorted very soon..

Were you taking just B12 or a daily vitamin B complex

It takes many months for B12 levels to drop

A b12 supplement. The b complex I had stopped for around few weeks before test because I ran out

I've also just got my prescription for levothyroxine. Just looked at the box and it's Teva brand 100.

Have you had Teva brand levothyroxine before?

Yes it does upset many people….but some find it by far the best

See how you go

If you don’t like it/can’t tolerate it …get note added to all future prescriptions “No Teva brand”

Which brand of levothyroxine were you currently taking

ALWAYS check the bag before leaving the counter at pharmacy

Hi slow dragon. I have also got two boxes of levo by a brand called northstar. I have six Mercury Pharma pills left.

Northstar 50mcg and 100mcg are Accord brand

Accord also boxed as Almus via Boots

Beware Accord don’t make 25mcg tablets

25mcg Northstar is Teva

Accord brand is generally well tolerated

Having a high level of B12 is not usually a problem if it is caused by supplementing - see these links :
