Hi All,

Recently I've been feeling really unwell again especially the headaches it's driving me mad. There's this burning sensation on top of the head as well as a banging pain at the back. I never figured out whats causing it. I've had it for more than 5years. Comes and goes but mostly there all day. My ears are also humming so much that it feels like I can hear my heart.

I can't stop yawning and fall asleep anywhere.

I'm currently on 25mg of t3 and 100mg of thyrovanz split every 6hrs.

I take LDN for adrenal fatigue. 3.5ml

I've ordered Throne adrenal cortex to top up.

Test done 25/2/22

T4 6.5 (10.5-24.5)

Tsh 0.01 (0.27-4.2)

Thyroid peroxidase 15 (0-33)

Ferritin 367 (13-150)

Serum iron 21 (9-30)

Iron trasferrin 2105(2000-3380)

TIBC 53 (50-85)

SERUM sex hormone 62 (32-128)

B12 2000 (197-772) self inject

Vit d 185

Folate 18.

I appreciate if anyone has and advice or suggestions.

X

Maya When you take T3 you must test FT3 levels. Testing just TSH and FT4 alone doesn't give a true picture of what is going on.

Hi. I know thanks but the labs didn't test it even tho the gp requested it.

This was the comment on it.

Measurements of ft3 of limited value in patients on t3 because of variability often tracking dose.

No idea what it's meant.

I think that what it means is that your T3 levels are reliant on your dose of T3 - ie T3 levels vary in response to dose. But that is the point of checking ft3 levels to see if your dose is high enough or too low or too high and that your resultant ft3 levels adequate and within range.

So frustrating.

I've ordered the private test kit now.

So you need to test privately

Always test thyroid levels early morning, ideally before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Day before test split T3 into 2 or 3 smaller doses spread through the day and take last dose approx 8-12 hours before test

Does anybody know if my iron levels looks good?

I know Ferritin is raised but I think that's because of inflammation.
