Ferritin is low.

Vitamin D good

As discussed in previous post

Ft4 low

Suggest you get FULL thyroid and vitamins tested privately as next step

TSH, Ft4 m Ft3 and both TPO and TG antibodies

Plus B12 and folate

Cortisol result too long ago to be relevant

Suggest you consider Blue Horizon test as includes cortisol

Always test as early as possible in morning Monday or Tuesday morning and then post back via tracked postal service

Come back with new post once you get results

Thanks Slow Dragon - I have put these on because it seems people needed more info on the numbers to comment. I have a cortisol and thyroid antibody test tomorrow. Will get the Blue Horizon one for sure subject to the GP agreeing to doing the full tests that is!!!

Just as an update.

TSH 2.79 - 0.34 - 5.6 range (up from 1.19 four days before)

T4 9.4 - 7.7 - 15.1 range (similar to before)

Cortisol - 365 nmol

As an additional piece I had T3 done in July 2020 results were (the rest of the results were similar to those posted previously)

T3 - 4.7 (4.3 - 6.8 range). T3 was not tested this time.

I am still waiting for the antibodies result.

I appreciate this is not all the data you asked for but I thought I’d send this over anyway - in particular in view of the TSH change.

As an additional bit of info - I have taken b12, iron etc the day before but doubt that would make any difference?

Were you taking just B12 and iron…or vitamin B complex too?

Vitamin B complex contains biotin. Biotin may affect some testing (it’s used in some labs as part of testing equipment)

Recommend getting FULL thyroid and vitamin testing done

Ft3 result from 2020 too long ago

Essential to test TSH, Ft4 and Ft3 together

Always test as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water

Yes I was taking those vitamins but although only a day. The test was first think before eating. I nearly passed out when they took the blood and had to lie down as I was sweating and feeling sick!

I’m going to get the one you recommended via Blue Horizon. Sorry to be a pain but which one do you recommend taking what you know about me into account.

How do you feel? You’ve plenty of room for a dose increase if you still have symptoms. I’d get the test with ft3 in next time for the full picture.

Ah sorry, ignore my advice about increasing meds but worth getting T3 tested.

BEFORE considering booking any consultation with thyroid specialist endocrinologist strongly recommend getting FULL thyroid and vitamin testing

Only do test early Monday or Tuesday morning, before eating or drinking anything other than water

Posting results of the tests suggested in a new post will be more helpful for you. Members here can tell you if you have Hashimotos, Anaemia etc based on the latest test results you are planning.

'Experts' are not always helpful when it comes to your thyroid as you have already experienced. FT3 is the most important test result as it is the Active hormone needed in every cell of your body.
