Just to update, twin pregnancy going really as I head into 2nd trimester 😃

I feel the current dose settled well and has remained unchanged throughout at 175mcg Levo. greygoose had commented on 3 October results that the TSH was unlikely to rise as I was over range FT4 then too and explained the drop in FT3 and the ensuing rt3. Interesting how the rt3 has perhaps now settled ? Also for myself, it was important not to blindly increase dose as per the usual suggestion in pregnancy. Any comments gratefully received.

No, the rT3 will not have 'settled', it will still be high because your FT4 is so over-range. But it is now over-range enough to have also raised your FT3.

Or, alternatively, you are now having a Hashi's 'hyper' swing. Which is more likely, given that you haven't increased your dose.

Thank you greygoose. Also, in addition to rt3 or hyper wing, could increase in HCG & estrogen also causes a rise in hormone levels or does this apply to euthyroid people only ? Whilst my symptoms are all excellent, other than general fatigue which I’d put to pregnancy than overdosing I’m presuming there’s not much I can do but just ride out these figures…

RT3 levels are pretty much irrelevant. rT3 doesn't cause low levels of FT3, it is the result of poor conversion, So, I would forget about it, if I were you. Certainly not worth testing.

A Hashi's 'hyper' swing, on the other hand, is just the way Hashi's works. Not caused by anything in particular, as far as we know. The levels will go down by themselves eventually, but nobody can tell you how long that will take. If your feel hyper, at all, just reduce our levo for a while.

I don't know what HCG is. And, I've never heard of an increase in oestrogen causing thyroid hormone levels to rise. I thought it was the other way around.

Then, yes of course, you reminded me of the estrogen dominance, hashimoto link I’m sure I read about on thyroidpharmacist and elsewhere.
