Other than the usual post partum recovery, very recently been having difficulty concentrating, a bit detached, extreme fatigue but I keep pushing myself and mostly manage to keep the blues away.
Very many thanks Jaydee, twins certainly keep you busy & entertained! Ferritin, Folate, B12, D3 - last checked over a year ago. I take iron & folate daily, b12 injections every year and 5000 iu D3 daily. Thanks for the reminder, I plan to get them all checked again in the next few weeks.
I shaved off 6.25mcg Levo 2 days ago from 143.75 to 137.50 mcg. For now it’s just what I needed. I find I’m very sensitive to even such small dose changes. I feel energised all of a sudden.
Here is a bit of lived experience that may (or may not) help. I had a Hashi hyper swing after the birth of my second child, took around 12 months to settle. I didn’t know at the time, the dots have only recently joined for me on this. I was exhausted, running to the loo on waking, very loose bowels, lost all my pregnancy weight very quickly (which I was congratulated for at the time 🙈) terrible headaches, massive anxiety (I put the house on the market without discussing it with my husband and made us move miles away so I could give up my job because I couldn’t cope). I’m sharing this not because I want sympathy more that I want to help anyone who might get the help they need instead of it taking another 18 years to diagnose and involve massive stressful upheavals that could possibly have been prevented. Wishing you well 🦋💚🦋
Not entirely sure if I’m still in the swing back down ؟ Not been at my best post partum, symptom wise, fatigue etc but since last week or so, the brain fog, headaches, body aches, lack of concentration, anxiety and exhaustion have gotten a little worse. Not sure where to go from here dosage wise either.
Just read your response again 2 days later & realised, (you just joined the dots!) I had the hashi hyper swing 3 months into pregnancy & lo & behold again just after the birth of the twins. So would appear I’m just heading out of a swing right now. At 3 months greygoose mentioned to expect more swings after the first. Just, wow, Regenallotment, you just hit the nail, thanks for the reminder.
Sending you lots of love, be kind to yourself, let your support network know what’s happening to you and have them be aware that your body is flinging hormones all over the place and they’ll all need to pitch in, not just short term. I distinctly remember my mother being annoyed with me, saying ‘Pregnancy and childbirth is NOT an illness’. Less than helpful at the time. How wrong she was! You’ll need your close ones support emotionally and physically. I’m so glad you spotted what I thought I could see. My heart goes out to you and your twinnies, take good care 🦋💚🦋
