The reason I asking this question is because I don’t understand the TSH and T4 they won’t test my T3 levels results. They alter my dose in June to 75mcg one day and 100mcg the next after the results of the previous blood test which they said my TSH was 2.5. Now I recently had another blood test and my TSH result is 0.08 and my T4 is 17 they said that I’m near to be overactive & what to lower the dose to taking 75mcg on set days 4 days a week & the 100mcg the rest of the week, I’m just not sure of the change, my period have finally come back in September & I do generally feel okay, I did say I did feel more tired last week mainly on evening, but I think it could be because my period was due, it arrived this week ( not sure it that has anything to with it ) will the lesser dose they are wanting me to do now have any major changes, they will do another blood test in January.
I haven’t got Copy of my results they told me all this over the phone.

I think you should be asking your doctor why they reduced your dose when your TSH was a wacking 2.5! You needed an increase, not a reduction. When on thyroid hormone replacement (levo), the TSH should come down to 1 or under.
I cannot comment on your FT4 because you haven't given a range. Do you always get a print-out of your results so that you know exactly what was tested and exactly what the results were? Sounds like your doctor has little idea what he's doing, and you're going to need to take charge. To be able to do that, you need to have all the facts and understand them - we can help you there.
Thanks grey goose. My 2.5 was my last results before going to alternate days with 75 and 100mcg in June & than I had to push for increase because the in store pharmacy at the doctors told me they will see me in year time & everything is okay . I knew they wasn’t I think that why I’m unsure of the change, as they are the ones telling me they want to decrease my meds as My blood results from last Friday for my TSH is now 0.08 and they are saying I’m near to being overactive.
