Blood test results

Hi, I would appreciate some opinions on my blood test results. I've had some strange health issues over the past 3 months, headaches, dizziness, muscle cramps, exercise intolerance. I'm not on any medication or supplements, the test was taken at 0930 am, after 10 hours of fasting. I work night shifts, so I suppose this might complicate things as to when the best time to have a blood test would be.

Any advice would be appreciated.

D 38 nmol/L ( range 50-200)

TSH 4.16 (0.27 - 4.2)

Free T3 6.31 (3.1-6.8)

Free T4 17.5 (12-22)

Welcome to the forum

See your GP with these results

Your results show you are folate deficient

GP should prescribe folic acid supplements

Also vitamin D is insufficient

Again GP should prescribe. 1600iu vitamin D daily for 6 months

NHS Guidelines on dose vitamin D required

ouh.nhs.uk/osteoporosis/use...

GP will often only prescribe to bring vitamin D levels to 50nmol.

Some areas will prescribe to bring levels to 75nmol or even 80nmol

leedsformulary.nhs.uk/docs/...

GP should advise on self supplementing if over 50nmol, but under 75nmol (but they rarely do)

Retest thyroid levels again in 3-4 months after improving low vitamin levels

Was this test done as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water

Hi, thanks for replying. I didn't eat or drink anything except water for 10 hours before this test, at 930 am. It seems unusual to me that the TSH is almost above the range, yet, T3 is upper end of normal. Have you seen that before?
