Which testing is best - cortisol.

Hi all.

May I ask if anyone has any advice for which is the best test/company for cortisol and dhea?

I realise it’s not strictly thyroid but I notice people mention the saliva test and I’ve had a blood test. It would be good to know which is considered more reliable.

Regenerus or Genova Diagnostics do this test.

I use Regenerus because they email you direct when your results are ready, Genova send them to ThyroidUK who then send them on to you when they've received your consent so it takes a bit longer.

Do they? Just for cortisol? Isn’t that a bit excessive?

Genova Diagnostics UK didn't used to work this way, they would deal with the public directly, just like other testing companies that get mentioned on here. But apparently there was a change in the rules forced on them by their parent company - Genova Diagnostics in the USA.

For me, the best is saliva, I've tried it on Medichecks , it's a very accurate.
