Stopping DHEA and other hormones before Cortisol Saliva test?

My partner is doing a Genova Adrenal stress saliva test soon and wondered which hormones and supplements to stop how many days prior to test.

She is on DHEA,Estrogen, Progesterone,Testosterone, Melatonin, Valerian root, B Vits, Vit C etc

I asked the seller at Genova but he said ask your doc, we dont have such a doc, usually the labs sellers are more helpful. I bought it via thyroid UK

Is there no instruction leaflet with the test? Regenerus includes a leaflet with full instructions on what to do/when to take/stop hormones, etc.

For the ones you've listed this is what Regenerus says:

Hormones - oesgrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA

Topical hormones (cream) - last dose prior to collection should be within a window of 12-24 hours before collecting the first sample.

Sublingual hormones or troches (dissolved under the tongue) - last dose prior to collection should be within a window of 24-36 hours followed by two full glasses of water to cleanse the tissues. then collect your first sample.

Do not apply topical or use sublingual hormones throughout the entire day of collection, this will contaminate your sample and your test results.

Oral hormones (pills) and transdermal patches- Should be used as precribed on the day of collection.

Injections, subcutaneous pellets and transdermal patches - collect at half way point between doses.

Melatonin

Last dose should be at least 36 hours before first saliva sample collection.

Supplements

Do not take any supplements until after you have collected all four samples.

No caffeine containing food or drink on day of collection.

If your partner has menstrual cycles collect 1 day during days 19-23 of a 28 day cycle, counting the first day of your period as day 1.

thankyou for info Seaside SusieI havnt received the test as only ordered yesterday, I am surprised by what Reg has said ie stop creams 12-24 hrs prior but take oral and patches on day of test, creams and patches are very similar in delivery and absorbtion. She takes DHEA and Prog and Melatonin oral but Testosterone, and Estrogen are cream.
