I'd consider contacting the hospital lab and asking them.
Indeed, it might be worth looking for the pathology lab handbook online - that might say something already. You never know until you look!
When doing a home blood test (finger prick) I stay off Vit D for week. I’ve found that the K2 in my D3 supplement causes my blood to clot more easily & the blood draw is easier if I stop taking it for a few days.
I’m not sure if Biotin will have any effect on the Vit D test, so would follow Helvella’s advice & check directly or put your test off a few days.
Well I found the handbook but where to look!! 🤷♀️🥴 Think I’ll just stop my vits until after my test next week - it’s easier!
Have you downloaded a PDF? Just search it for "biotin".
Are you viewing it online? Search the site. (You can add site:thisismypathlab.nhs.uk - or whatever to a Google search.)

It depends on the amount of biotin you are taking. Generally it's large amounts of biotin that affect blood tests. It also depends on whether biotin is used in the testing procedure.
This article on labtestsonline website mentions which tests can be affected and Vit D is included in the list.

What are some common tests that may be affected by biotin?
Most B Complex supplements contain what would be classed as a small dose of Biotin and if you're concerned then just leave off for a couple of days which is what Medichecks suggest for thyroid tests.
Thank you for that - I'm currently taking 1 x Igennus Super B vit a day (so that would be 150ug), my appt is on Tues so I just wont take any more until after the test. It says on the link you shared some people get rid of biotin in a few hours some its a few days, this will give me 5 clear days so I should be ok.👍
