Awaiting a thyroid test

Hi I’m new here.

I have nodules on my thyroid, my voice is getting deeper, cold feet and a lot of other symptoms. The doctor is going to give me a blood test next week for TSH,T4.

T3 and anti bodies, so hopefully we will find and solve the problem

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies

Ask GP to test vitamin levels too

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

I’ve received my blood tests but doc didn’t do my anti bodies so will ask again.T4 15 T3 4.1 TSH 1.29 LDL cholesterol 7.9 HDL2.1 hope this helps
