Unusual thyroid results

Hello

Are these thyroid results unusual? I’m not on thyroid medication. I have just noticed that my free t3 climbs each time my thyroid is tested yet my ft4 and TSH stay around the same numbers. Over the course of three months my ft3 has went from 4.5 to 5.6 tested under the same conditions. Is it unusual for ft3 to fluctuate that much? Any help is appreciated.

FT4: 13.2 (12-22)

FT3: 5.6 (3.1-6.8)

Ft4 is on the low side

How do you feel?

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies

Ask GP to test vitamin levels

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or thyroid antibodies or all relevant vitamins
