Hi everyone just had a full antibodies test as recommended by slow dragon for hashimotos a while ago due to fluctuations in thyroid levels.

Here’s my results from medichecks after 6 weeks of taking Tru thyroid on 2 grains I’d be grateful if you can interpret them

TSH 11.5 range 0.27-4.2

FT3 4.4 range 3.1 -6.8

FT4 13.1 range 12-22

TG 14.5 <115

TPO 9.57 <34

You are very under-medicated to have a TSH that high. But, do you take biotin in any shape or form?

Your antibodies do not suggest autoimmune thyroiditis. :)

Thanks Greygoose I thought I was under medicated thought so No biotin 😊

Hey Blackpanther46

Your TSH should be 1 or under to feel well (for most people) and yours is extremely high. When mine was 10.4 at diagnosis I was on the floor. You must feel pretty awful.

fT3 & 4 too low. Your fT3 controls your symptoms so needs increasing. It’s great you have low antibodies 😊. x

How are you feeling in yourself now? I'm sure I'd be feeling awful with an FT3 that low.

Yes feel awful and to add to it my son is in hospital with two broken jaws he got beaten up last night so he’s having surgery today on it . I can’t believe all this

Really sorry to hear you and your family are going through such a torrid time.

Keep in mind while you're undermedicated it's very common to find such things harder to cope with, so that will be making it more difficult for you at the moment.

So sorry to hear about your son- really hope he makes a good recovery. I’m sure you will feel better with a Levo increase, but you will likely need to increase slowly to achieve a TSH nearer to 1.

Just wondering when you say you are on 2 grains of Tru, do you mean 4 tablets? (each tablet being half of a normal grain) - what were you taking before and how much?

Blackpanther46 profile image

Yes 4 tablets as each tablet is 1/2 grain. I was taking 225mg Thyrogold glandular a day meant to be equivalent to 2 grains but I was so much better on that than I was on Tru thyroid my TSH jumped from 0.08 to 11.5 in 6 weeks . I don’t think Tru thyroid is good for me I don’t know anyone else who’s tested in it though

Oh gosh - I am running out of my thiroyd tabs, ordered Thyroactive, only to find out on this forum that it is more a case of Thyro"inactive" - so not waiting on Tru. I have read through a few threads on here about Tru, about two thirds seems to be negative and only a third positive. I might have to try Thyrogold or Thyrovanz. Why did you swap from TGold?

Blackpanther46 profile image
Blackpanther46 in reply toreliablerebel

Don’t get thyroactive ! Yes more people than not say Tru thyroid not good . Not many options available anymore thiroyd I know was good but it’s terrible not even thyroid s available at moment! Running out of options. I only swapped from Thyrogold because of price and also I’ve been bit up and down on it blood test wise but I realise now that suppressed tsh is normal with T3 but my doctor put fear in me that I was hyper thyroid . I had slightly high T3 level on it aswell but I felt good but again they frightened me into dropping my dose then I became hypo again . It’s expensive though by time the postal costs added on !

Sorry to jump on here.

Let us know how you get on with tyrovanz if you do decide to try x

Thanks for reply, I treat myself and have learned to go by symptoms as well as labs. At least you know that thyrogold worked. I will have to try the tru and see how I get on. But need a plan B

It’s a risk to try Tru thyroid many people have gone hypo in short time on them just heard of another person yesterday on different forum ! Please be careful !

I’d look in other options metavive 11 is meant to be good aswell though I’ve never tried it .

Thanks, it was on this forum a month ago that I was recommended to try Tru by a few posters after my bad experience with Thyroactive. So will try it when it arrives but need to have a plan B
