Hi I’ve just had a blood test and realised I didn’t lay off my high strength B vitamins before hand and I’ve been taking a week and half how could affect the results?
I’ve read B vits skew the results especially biotin and the tablet contains 100ug a tablet.

It's just biotin that can skew the results - it doesn't always. But, there's no way of knowing quite how it will skew them. It could give you an abnormally low TSH or an abnormally low FT3, or any number of abnormal results. But, you'd possibly know just by looking at them that they looked off.
If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before any blood tests, as biotin can falsely affect test results
You’re right GP likely completely unaware of biotin issues
Taking Biotin supplements can be a handy thing to use to postpone an unwanted thyroid test sprung on you in the afternoon after taking thyroid meds....
She was completely unaware and think she didn’t believe it either ! Thankyou I’ll show her these and I might just do another private test through medichecks in a week time with NO supplements 😊
