Do these results lean toward central hypothyroidism or do they appear healthy? Both my TPO and anti thyroglobulin antibodies are negative. The results below were all taken in the late afternoon over a course of a year.
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies
Ask GP to test vitamin levels
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or thyroid antibodies or all relevant vitamins
I do not see normal results. Your levels are too low in range. My levels were very similar when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, except my TPO was around 1200. When was the last time both antibodies were tested and what were your numbers and the range? Antibodies can change over time. If they haven’t been tested in the last 6 months, it’s time to check them again. At some point, my TPO was negative, too. 10 years leading up to when I was finally diagnosed, I had doctors testing only Total T4 and TSH, or sometimes FT4, too. My levels were similar to yours. The day I was diagnosed was the first time my FT3 was ever tested, and only because I asked for it. My results were the same as yours, TSH included.
Enough about me. Most importantly, how do you feel and what are your symptoms?
This is what is abnormal about your tests: July 2019: your FT4 was only 19% of range. That’s not normal. Your FT3 was only 46% of range. May 2020: your FT4 was only 31% of range.
