Can You Get Armour NDT without a prescription?

With much concern, it has come to my attention that Thyroid S is becoming less available & practically impossible to source now. At the end of March, I ordered a batch from a supplier with a dwindling stock, and have still not received it yet. Tracking shows it's in the deep deep delivery abyss due to Covid-19 & may not even arrive.

Thyroid S has been my health saviour, & I'm worried I'm going to have to revert back to Levothyroxine which makes me ill & doesn't give me the T3 I need. NDT works better with my body & as I have to self medicate, I need a non prescription NDT if Thyroid S will no longer be available. Recently, I have read that NDT's are becoming increasingly unreliable in their ingredients from the StopTheMadness article. They do say however, that Armour is generally more reliable compared to the others.

My big question after my lengthy intro is:

Can Armour be easily sourced without the need of a prescription, is it gluten & soya free, & does it have a good success rate?

Anyone who can shed light on this & pass on their thoughts will be greatly appreciated 😊!! Thanks!!

MM. Your story is identical to mine almost word for word. My order after six weeks has disappeared into the ether and they were very anxious to give me a refund practically before I read the e-mail. I think they are cutting their losses. The Pandemic appears to be finishing off off what Big Pharma started. I am very afraid as I too was ill on Levo.

Yes, we've messaged about this recently 😊. Getting quite desperate to where I go from here if it doesn't turn up. I know Armour seems to be popular in the U.S. I need a non prescription source though. I don't want to feel like death warmed up again like I did on Levothyroxine. Need a quick solution like you 🤔😬.

If you have used your supplier before with no problems, then I think you will eventually get your delivery, it's just a matter of time.

I have today received a supplement posted from the US on 27th March so 6.5 weeks. To be honest, I wish it had never arrived and I'd been given a refund. I had found a substitute available in the UK which actually works better so have reordered a good stock!

I've also heard of someone waiting 2 months for their delivery of T3 from overseas.

As for Armour, you can't get it in the UK without a prescription and if you can source it without prescription from overseas then you've got the delivery problem again.

Some people have tried Metavive which is a thyroid glandular with no declared hormone content and is available in the UK, and have got on well, although some have tried and not done well on it.

Thank you, I want to stick with NDT, as I don't want to be trial & error treating again... Too much money & feeling deathly for that! This is a mega blow as after years, I am finally feeling normal again. 😔
