I'm taking 100 mcg of Levothyroxine following pituitary surgery. Along with that I had a perforated bowel that resulted in a colostomy. I had the colostomy reversed (re-connected my plumbing) and to help with bowel activity I am taking some probiotics. Would these probiotics help to avoid the current virus?

It appears that many cases are caused by inhalation of viral particles into the lungs.
While healthy guts might be highly desirable and help in all sorts of general ways, I cannot imagine they will reduce the likelihood of being infected in the first place via lungs or eyes.
At the same time, I suspect that the real answer is that nobody really knows.
Most unlikely. Probably nothing can but Vit C and Vit D most likely help .
The main way to avoid is social distance. I read of some arrosol experiments from Scandinavia that showed ventilation can take droplets from a cough over a supermarket aisle and can stay in still air in an aisle for several minutes.
It seems to me that there has been a missing factor to explain the huge ever increasing number of cases and it may be the time the virus can stay in the air.
