Hello I’m hypothyroid and wondering if anyone has any information on what interferes with hcl and pepsin? I’m currently taking dhea and progesterone and wondering if either of these would effect stomach acid. Can’t find anything online so thought I’d ask the experts

The things that affect stomach acid - lower it, that is - are low thyroid hormones (hypothyroidism), low-salt diets, low B12 and statins (in that they lower cholesterol). I don't think progesterone or DHEA would affect natural stomach acid levels, nor exogenous HCL/pepsin. :)

Cheers goose that’s good to hear! I was asking because I’ve worked up to 5 pills of hcl and pepsin at one meal and still not reached the cut of point (a reaction to know it’s one dose less). But it has made me feel a lot better so it must be getting there
