Hi, im thinking of trying Betaine pepsin for low stomach acid. Is there a lactose and gluten free option? 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Betaine pepsin : Hi, im thinking of trying... - Thyroid UK
Betaine pepsin
It is sold on Amazon. I don't take it personally so can't say anything about it. I can't take it due to having chronic gastritis, and having a history of duodenal ulcers.

Neither of the above contain lactose according to the packaging. There are other possibilities that I haven't looked at. Some aren't clear whether they contain lactose or not.
You might find these links of use :
I have tried a number of different brands, Solgar is good, I also had a cheap one from Amazon. I react very badly to lactose and gluten and none I’ve tried contain it. I found it really helped my digestion. If you can see a photo of the back of the bottle online you can zoom in and read the ingredients. 🌱
hi, I take the lamberts one - it says it’s free of almost everything including lactose and gluten. I just take one a day with my largest meal and it’s really made a difference.
I take Thorne and just looked up the ingredients. As far as I can see there is neither lactose nor gluten in those capsules. It works very well for me. I started with just one capsule and ended up with 3 per meal. After a longer time (don't remember how many month) I needed to reduce and am now back on 1 capsule per meal. Like everything with thyroid it is individual trial and error, I think. And just when you think you have figured everything out, new challenges seem to arise.
Hi, I use the Doctor's Best &, also, use ACV diluted in water. I feel just as good using that as the HCI betaine w/pepsin
