I’ve had vits done all in mid to upper range except vit D at 15 so already having mega doses to lift levels.

Yes, your raised antibodies confirm Hashi's.

What are the actual results of folate, B12 and ferritin?

in reply toSlowDragon

Hi SlowDragon

Folate 4.2 ug/L range greater than 4.1

B12 330 ng/ L range 160-820

Ferritin 94 Range 13- 110

My vit D was only 15 so I’m having one mega dose each week for 7 weeks then re testing.

I’m thinking I might need to add Magnesium and B Complex??

Any help gratefully received. Determined to get on top of my health x

Don’t add more than one supplement at a time

Waiting for 10-14 days before adding another

B12 low and folate very low. Supplementing a good quality daily vitamin B complex, one with folate in not folic acid may be beneficial.

B vitamins best taken in the morning after breakfast

Igennus Super B complex are nice small tablets. Often only need one tablet per day, not two. Certainly only start with one tablet per day after breakfast. Retesting levels in 6-8 weeks

Or Thorne Basic B or jarrow B-right are other options that contain folate, but both are large capsules

If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before any blood tests, as biotin can falsely affect test results

Low vitamin D and low B vitamins may be linked as explained here

In YouTube video...vitamin D at 40ng/ml (USA units) is equal to 100nmol (UK units)

Thanks for advice again! I’ve ordered the B Complex and magnesium but will only add one in first as you suggest. I thought folate was only just in normal so thanks for confirming xx
