Thriva for blood tests?

Has anyone used Thriva for blood tests? How accurate are they? I'm happy to do research into what the normal ranges are for results when they come in. Just wanted to know if it's worth the money.

I'd like to keep track of some levels due to a family history of specific illnesses and GPs being reluctant to do anything other than the basics.

I use thriva, and have never had a problem with them. Their system gives you the ranges with your results and you'll get a doctors opinion too.

I see it says i need to have a monthly subscription? I can't seem to find any info on what if I don't want the "basic" blood tests and say want thyroid ones every three months, would that work?

i used thriva a number of times. i sign up to the subscription which i think is set to three monthly tests then i click on the right hand side of the screen and on the drop down menu i click change subscription. i change it to once a year or cancel it. i often get discount codes for family and they get 50 percent off their first test, so it’s worked well for me

when i get the test results i usually post in this forum if anything confusing or i want a more detailed analysis, the results on thriva are generic and this forum is full of people who know more. you can see your results on a graph to compare them to previous tests if you do keep using them regularly too

I use mainly Thriva and sometimes the others when there are offers on. Some of Thriva’s ranges are a bit funny but otherwise fine, quick and nhs accredited lab - sometimes the same one others use.

Yes you should be able to set a subscription for every three months but I don’t think they do thyroid only tests. I do the female hormone test every few months but I’m interested in the other results too.

They do this one thriva.co/tests/thyroid-test but I'm not sure how that works.

Also interested in the female hormones one too but maybe not just yet

So the female test has all the thyroid ones in. But Medichecks is a bit cheaper for thyroid at £59 if you’re going to do regularly. I have a referral code for 50% off first Thriva, if you’d like it just pm me. Though to be fully transparent I get £10 credit.

pm me it, that's okay I understand the £10 credit to you, makes sense, I'll definitely look into it, the code would let me have one set of tests to see what it's like

Thriva use County Pathology, if that helps :)

ps yes they make it a bit difficult now forcing everyone to complete a questionnaire. on mine it only gave me the basic thyroid test as a reccomendation so i had to delete that off the checkout page and add in the thyroid advanced profile on the test request page

ah I did that questionnaire and it gave me a list of ones, right so I'll have a play around with it!

I set my subscription frequency to 12 months, but you can always just cancel the subscription once you've got your results, you don't have to take it forward. A podcast I listen to also has a discount code just now, which might work on the thyroid tests but might not. The code is "Mann30", it's worth a try :)

I think there's a january one too, if anyone else has one i could try let me know!

Thank you for asking this. I was put off by the subscription thing too as I didnt know you could change it.

Ive found that the one most recommended on this site to be unreliable in timely results and results that are completely unreliable x
