Thriva Blood Testing

Hi there,

Has anyone used Thriva for private blood testing? It looks like a very good deal with what appears to be the full blood testing required. I think I shall give them a go!

I've not used Thriva, I don't seem to be able to get my head around exactly what they're offering, their packages and how you choose what you want. I like the way it's easy to choose exactly what you want with Medichecks and Blue Horizon.

Currently, Medichecks are offering 20% discount across the board until the end of May with code TUK20, their Thyroid Check ULTRAVIT is exactly the same as that Thriva test.

Yes I know what you mean and I wish I had waited to read your comments as I tried to raise an order online but the website was playing up and so what I didn't realise is I have raised three different orders and received emails as confirmation. So I am waiting to hear back from them as I have emailed them to cancel the three orders I have raised because it is not clear what I have ordered. I shall then resubmit. Watch this space.

I'm glad you said this :) I looked and it seems you can buy one predefined test, but if you don't want that you have to sign up and jump through some hoops to get some sort of personalised account... or something. It feels very unfriendly and manipulative to me. So, like you, I stick with the two that don't make me feel I'm going to be manipulated into writing my life history... or something :D

They have very good feedback and reviews on their website which is the reason I wanted to go with them. Also they are a lot cheaper than Medicheck so I am hoping that they live up to their reviews.

I don't know what their thyroid test prices are because when I looked they only showed the one test which is not the test I need. To find anything else out they wanted me to sign up and answer questions. :)

Yes, I couldn't find any other tests and prices either, I find that website very offputting, why not be clear about what they offer and their prices? Definitely not for me. I tend to use Medichecks when they have offers on.

Reviews can be false ,see Which magazine on Amazon reviews of unknown branded goods.

That said, not sure I trust Which any more either. They're not what they used to be!

Are there any open and honest reviews of consumer organisations?

Not with the traders who pay to be included ,for sure.I stopped buying it years ago finding the best buys often did not last! But daughter is keen.

I used them about a month ago....my brain was working well that week...and I obviously wasn’t that busy...so I compared them in detail with Blue Horisons and Medichecks which I had used before (yip, bit sad!).they were the cheapest that week...don’t know if they still are. Pack didn’t arrive after 3 days so phoned them up and they immediately sent another, arrived next day. When I sent my sample back I got the results just after mid day the following day which I thought was quicker than the others had been. The first pack they sent me arrived a few days later and they told me to keep for spare parts! (Can’t use it as the same tracking number as the one I did use)

I would use again, was nice to get the results so quickly & after my phone call they texted me with updates on posting of replacement pack and phoned me to check it had arrived, which was good customer relations.

Check on ThyroidUK, they may have offers on.....

I used Thriva and I was very happy with them. They sent me 4 extra phials ect when I just couldn’t get the blood out. And then I live close to their testing site so I just dropped it off in the morning and got the results in the afternoon 🤗

I use Thriva and find them very good, and very fast, and would certainly recommend them. I also experience no problem using their website/ordering.
