Anyone else had problems with Thriva finger prick blood tests? I sent in bloods for vitamins, cholesterol etc at same time as tests for medichecks for my thyroid. As with previous Thriva test I have been told my sample was delayed in post or there was insufficient sample!! Both tests were posted at the same time and both test tubes were filled to the mark. Husband has had exactly the same issue with his tests with Thriva, and is now awaiting third tube for a blood sample!! Will stick to Medichecks in future.

Thriva tests for vitamins etc
I've never got my head around Thriva, can't see if you can order just thyroid tests on their own, etc. Medichecks and Blue Horizon for me, much more straightforward and never let me down yet.
Hi I've used both without issue. I sent my thriva on a Thursday & results were ready by the Saturday. I had the full thyroid check with them using just finger prick test.
I've used Thriva with absolutely no problem, very efficient service.
I had same problem as you. Going to try again on Monday... I thought it was just me, will see how it goes Monday
Never had a problem with Thriva. In fact their turn over time seems to have improved even more. Sent my test Thursday. Arrived Friday morning. Had my results by Friday afternoon.
I’ve used Thriva twice. Purely because there was a good price discount.
I didn’t have any issues. I posted on a Weds both times and got my results the day after.
I was able to pick and choose what I wanted testing on the 2nd one. The first test I chose their pack which suited me at the time.
I've had tests delayed in the post to Thriva, and thus a long wait for results. Thriva and Medichecks are the same lab, County Pathology Services Ltd. In Guildford. Personally I've found Medichecks to be easier to use.
I initially had a problem with my thriva test so I rang them and they were really helpful. Turned out I’d massaged my finger too near the lanced site to encourage the blood flow and damaged the sample that way. No further issues now I know that and efficient and prompt service.
I had problems obtaining the sample as my blood clots, finger sore weeks after . Never tried any others to see if they are any better
Hi, yes I had a similar issue with a Thriva sample being delayed by a week in the post. I'm surprised they were able to run the tests on it, since the advice is always to avoid sending samples on Fridays so that they're not stuck in the post over the weekend. Could be just a coincidence but I've never had a Medichecks sample arrive more than a day later than expected. Personally sticking with Medichecks too for now.
Both of us took bloods on weds and were put in post by 12noon outside our local PO sorting office. Always do this and never had any probs with Medichecks but both of us have had probs with Thriva, me twice and husband 3 times!
I've used thriva 5 times, and only had an issue once - the blood had coagulated, so there wasn't enough sample to test.
Odd that you and your husband have both had issues though!
