Hi, these results are from a few months back, if these were your bloods and you still felt exhausted most mornings,

Would you up T4 or up T3? - Current dose 88mcg T4 7am and 5mcg T3 around 3pm. Endo suggested lowering T4 to 75mcg and 10mcg T3 every day. I am aware I’ve posted a similar post before but the circumstances changed, I’ve been very unwell with other things since then so it wasn’t as simple as just changing at that time, so ignore previous posts please - I’m aware I’ve posted before.

My results in question, albeit they are a few months older now but still relate to my query above.

TSH: 1.470 range 0.27-4.20

Free T4: 19.85 range 12-22

Free T3: 5.6 range 3.1-6.8

I did try up the T3 to the 10mcg and lower the T4 for a tiny bit of time but I had palps and was aware of my heart rate which put me off. I see Endo next Friday for a review and new blood draws .

Thanks for any advice, as I said I’ve posted similar a long time ago but I’ve a lot of other health issues going on alongside this hence why changing meds hasn’t been straightforward.

Thanks ☺️

Yes your very right. I have Sjogrens and possible RA now too, so that along with under active thyroid and hashimotos it probably is just a result of all those conditions mixed up.

I was thinking I would feel better if my TSH was slightly lower however that doesn’t show how we feel and FT4 and FT3 markets are more accurate. Also, my FT4 looks high enough, as does FT3 so maybe it’s just how I’m feeling and changes in meds may not help 🤨 I can wait for the new results and see if they have changed much before deciding ☺️

Checking levels of B12 - Folate - Ferritin - VitD could prove helpful..

Hi I am of no help to Misty Grey but I am another probably Sjogrens/RA alongside Hashimotos . My mum has primary Sjogrens with neuropathy, but the neuropathy affects every area of her body, gut lungs etc too. She has been on 75mg Eltroxin for years, but no one even thinks of looking at thyroid as TSH below 10 so it is ‘normal’ so never flagged as an issue.

I don’t know if Sjogrens just overtakes thyroid issues and whether it makes any difference altering the thyroid meds. With such a strong family history of RA and Sjogrens, I am keen to keep my own autoimmune system as under control as possible.

Scrumbler how has getting your Sjogrens diagnosis helped please? Are you sero-negative or sero-positive for Sjogrens?
