From my previous posts you will know I had medichecks blood tests and was advised to improve my nutrients in order to help with the thyroxine.
I currently take 125 Levo plus all the vits recommended however seem to be deteriorating. My energy levels are awful and depression still really bad. I am seeing a Private psych but nothing he prescribes are helping. I even tried modafinil for cfs and sleeping excessively and this has helped a bit but now my body seems to have got used to it and my weight is piling on and I feel so demoralised and really struggle most days with being alive.. I really think if it wasn’t for my family I wouldn’t be here. I’m not suicidal and would never take my own life as I am a single parent and would never do that to my son.
Anyway I have been so desperate and the only real thing that I think might have a chance of helping is t3 but I know my psych would struggle prescribing it.
I have ordered Metavive 2 after reading up on the internet! any thoughts guys would be appreciated 😕xx

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random
I spoke with my psychiatrist yesterday and he said he wouldn’t like to prescribe t3 as he was concerned about it interfering with my thyroxine treatment and also it’s v expensive about £200 he said!
Clearly, if FT3 is still low (as is likely) then you would need T3 added from an endocrine view .....as well as from a mental health point of view
Obviously many people struggle to get prescribed on NHS, due to recent immoral price increase
However price is now fallen, and falling. Down from £258 for 28 tablets to current price of £173
Obviously a lot cheaper from Germany at 31 Euro for 100 tablets on private prescription But access to EU T3 is possibly going to stop if Brexit happens
So many, many people are forced to get without prescription
Suggest you email Dionne at Thyroid Uk for list of recommended thyroid specialist endocrinologists who will prescribe T3
If an NHS endocrinologist or psychiatrist say you have clinical need for T3 you should be prescribed
Also looking at DIO2 gene test. If you test positive for this common gene variation this is good scientific proof that you need addition of T3 alongside Levothyroxine
