Here are my labs :

On 60 mg NP and 15 T3:

TSH .005. Range .450-4.5

T4 1.19. Range .82-1.77

T3. 233. Range 71-180

Now on NP45 and 15 T3

Crying has returned, but T3 has gotten rid of jittery feeling and heart racing (pulse was 86 to 96 bpm at rest.

That's the wrong T3. You have a Total T3 there, which doesn't give you much useful information. What you need is the Free T3. :)

Just wanted to say, hang in there! I am not informed enough to comment on results, but I am sure there will be people on here who will! I have had a lot of anxiety , feeling depressed and being very emotional and crying whilst adjusting my dose of NDT. Feeling a bit more 'together' now. It can be done! You will feel different again! Good luck!

with high T3 and very low TSH you sound to be hyperthyroid as a result of being overmedicated.

Only if it's a high FT3, not a high TT3 as the OP has.

The TSH value is practically zero, that isn’t normal, that’s a sign of hypethyrodism. I’m assuming as a result of the medication, as ‘leftbehind’ is mentioning T3 (I assume being supplemented). And coupled with the symptoms....

TSH is very often suppressed when on thyroid hormone replacement - especially taking T3. A TSH of practically zero wouldn't be normal in someone not on thyroid hormone replacement, but when you are, it isn't a sigh of hyperthyroidism at all, it's a sign of being on thyroid hormone replacement.

Crying is is a hypo symptom. When I was under-medicated, I cried all the time.

I’ve just read that this person has had a thyrodectomy. I actually have no clue how to interpret those results. I retract, as does not apply. This is a completely different scenario.

Yup. Plus they've done the TT4 and the TT3, so those results don't really mean anything at all. :)

Yes. I have also had a complete thyroidectomy. When taking T3 the TSH is often .004 for me. This is normal per my endocrinologist.

I blubbed so much I considered buying shares in Kleenex! It’s better now I’m on a higher dose but I take feeling overly emotional as one of the signs that I may need another dose increase.

Don’t worry, things will get better. There are some super knowledgeable forum members/admin who will be able to give you their thoughts, especially if you can provide key blood test results. No-one gets left behind here x

Now I am well I am suffering from a quick temper or Graves' rage. I have to bite my tongue or walk away from someone who annoys me.

As you have Graves it's important to regularly retest vitamin levels

Couldn't see any recent vitamin results

Are you on strictly gluten free diet?

Or tried it?

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

This gives highest TSH and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)

If/when also on T3, or NDT make sure to take last dose 8-12 hours prior to test, even if this means adjusting time or splitting of dose day before test

Is this how you do your tests?

Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or all vitamins

For thyroid including antibodies and vitamins

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random

Cheapest option for just TSH, FT4 and FT3 £29 (via NHS private service )

Why did you reduce NP? Go back to the 60mg and the crying should subside.
