Posting T3 results

I have at last obtained my recent blood test results, I notice I am on the bottom of the range for Free T3, I have been taking T3 only now for 2 months:

TSH 3.20 ref. range 0.35 - 4.94

Free T4 9.8 ref.range 9.0 - 19.1

Free T3 3.5 ref.range 2.4 - 6.0

I think I will need to contact the Endocrinologist again, it seems like I'm at the bottom of all three blood tests. I have been gradually getting more and more exhausted and tired both mentally and physically over the past month or two since I came off combination T4 and T3, I have no more acutely crippling pains in my body after waiting 6 weeks for Levothyroxine to leave my body. Thanks for your help

On T3 only you would expect to be bottom of range or below even for FT4. Iggnore that result.

As I said previously 20mcgs T3 is a low dose for monotherapy. Most people are around 60mcgs T3 for monotherapy.

Hey there :

On T3 monotheraphy when optimally medicated your TSH will likelu be low suppressed :

Your T4 under or bottom of range -

And you will need to find a dosing strategy for dosing T3 - likely throughout the day - as I read most people need around 50 mcg T3 a day - just to function.

Previously you were on NDT - and taking 5 grains Armour which is 45 mcg T3 + 190 mcg T4 daily and hazard a guess you aren't able to convert T4 into T3 as if with no signs of over medication this dose of NDT is quite high.

We also need current readings for ferritin, folate, B12 and vitamin D

Thanks for your help, I have emailed the Endocrinologist 2 days ago to ask for the Liothyronine to be increased to 40 mcg, if I don't get a reply by tomorrow I'll ring the secretary to ask.

I doubt they will action this without first running a blood test - but good luck and hope you get a positive reply and your request actioned.
