I have an endo appointment on Tuesday to review meds. I’ve just checked my diary and discovered that the next bloods will be drawn just over 4 weeks since my T3 dose was doubled and my T4 increased from 50 to 75mcg. I thought it was longer. I’ve asked questions recently about this describing feeling jittery and shaky. From what I’ve read here it may take a while for my levels to settle. Is it too soon to have tests done? I’m afraid if I tell endo that I’m experiencing these symptoms he might take me off t3 treatment? Do I need more time? Will these symptoms improve or do you think I’m overmedicated? Sorry if you’ve answered me before on this. I’m confused and concerned about the upcoming appointment.

If your Levo has been increased then advice here is to leave 6-8 weeks for levels to stabilise. It may be OK if only T3 had been increased as that has a much shorter half life than Levo. But as said before, increasing dose of both at the same time isn't a good idea. Increasing Levo will raise both FT4 and FT3 if you still have some natural conversion. Raising T3 will increase FT3. So it's sensible to raise only one at a time to see what effect that has then reassess and decide what to increase next.
Yes I realised that maybe it was too much at once but I had been taking 75mcg and it was reduced at first endo appointment so the second endo thought it would be ok to increase it again since t3 and T4 levels had decreased significantly and to help me over a very difficult time.
I’m considering postponing my appointment but the shaking (and weight loss) is concerning me. Thanks again for your advice.
