My levothyroxine med went from 75mcg to 100mcg recently so had a blood test and the TSH result said I’m 0.10 so am I now at risk of becoming overactive? Also can thyroid problems cause itchy neck and sweating in bed?
I’ve been taking thyroxine for 22 years - Thyroid UK

Hi, I take 100mg Levo and my TSH is 0.11 - yes it's under range but doesn't mean I am over medicated. Do you have any other blood results - FT4 and FT3 with ranges?. How do you feel on the higher dose of Levo?
You cannot become overactive but can be over medicated . To know if you are overmedicated you need to know FT4 and FT3 results in their ranges but GPs unlikely to oblige so test pricately.

Just testing TSH when on Levothyroxine is completely inadequate

You need FULL Thyroid and vitamin testing 6-8 weeks after any dose (or brand) change in Levothyroxine
Low vitamin levels are extremely common and frequently need supplementing to maintain optimal levels
Thanks i actually did have vitamin B test and vitamin D testing about 2 months ago and the GP said I’m not deficient but I take b12 supplements anyway along with cod liver oil and vitamin c every day
ALWAYS get actual results and ranges
GP would say anything within range is fine
But we need vitamin levels optimal
Folate at least over ten (range usually starts around 3)
Vitamin D at least around 80nmol and around 100nmol may be better. But GP would say anything over 50nmol is ok
Ferritin at least half way in range
