Vitamin D supplement recommendation
An oil based softgel such as Doctor's Best gives good absorption. Only 2 ingredients - D3 and extra virgin olive oil.
If you have Hashi's then you might want to consider an oral spray such as BetterYou or an oil based sublingual liquid such as Vitabay Organic, these bypass the stomach and are absorbed through the mucous membranes in the oral cavity.
Don't forget D3's important cofactors - Vit K2-mk7 which directs the extra uptake of calcium from food to bones and teeth where it is needed and away from arteries and soft tissue where it can be deposited and cause problems, also magnesium which is needed for the body to use D3.
What's your actual vitamin D result?
Aiming to improve by self supplementing to at least 80nmol and around 100nmol may be better .
Once you Improve level, very likely you will need on going maintenance dose to keep it there.
Important to be Retesting twice yearly via vitamindtest.org.uk
Vitamin D mouth spray by Better You is good as avoids poor gut function.
It's trial and error what dose each person needs.
Frequently if you have Hashimoto's may need higher dose than average

I like liquid vitamin D (along with K2) in peppermint oil. Several brands available . I take a few drops every morning.
This is the one I’m taking presently. It has the additional benefit of MCT.
