hi, l am just looking at purchasing vitamins and have been researching some suppliers. Has anyone bought from Royal Oak health before. I am looking at purchasing VitD3+K2 and B12 initially to help me on my hypothyroid journey and then adding magnesium when l get my next wage.

Hi I use British Supplements or 5Greens as they use no fillers I found Ingennus pretty good too. Good luck on your journey, I've found they have improved my overall wellbeing bloods next month to see an improvement 🤞

Thank you Humphre, glad they are having a positive impact with you. I will have a look at both.

as your active B12 is over 70 you don’t need a separate B12…..but just a vitamin B complex

I gave you links to options in previous post

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Thorne

uk.iherb.com/pr/thorne-basi...

Igennus

igennus.com/products/super-...

If you were to need a separate B12 (which you don’t at moment) this B12 is cheaper and better as contains both methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin

Thanks SlowDragon, the brand l was asking about came up on my search results and seemed too good a price. I have looked at the others suggested too but l haven’t supplemented vits apart from ones l bought from a supermarket during pandemic.

Vitamin D mouth spray by Better You is very effective as it avoids poor gut function.

There’s a version made that also contains vitamin K2 Mk7.

One spray = 1000iu

It’s trial and error what dose we need, with thyroid issues we frequently need higher dose than average

Once you Improve level, very likely you will need on going maintenance dose to keep it there.

Test twice yearly via NHS private testing service when supplementing

I used to use Better you 3000 D3 & K2 and it helped my levels somewhat better than tablets as I obviously seem to have absorption problems, but I think the acacia in it bothered me, as you do ingest some after swallowing.

I’ve now moved to higher dose 4000 D3 & K2 from Bare Biology it’s delivered by medium chain triglycerides (MCT) and peppermint oil.

I have B12 injection so can’t comment on B12 supplements itself but 40% of the population struggles with synthetic forms of B vitamins (and possibly other synthetic supplements) this is due to methylation problems and a more bioavailable forms of B vitamins, the methyl ones, are best absorbed and used .

Look for Methylcobalamin for B12 and Methylfolate rather than folic acid.

I use Neutrient D3 + K2 spray, as it has no flavourings or sweeteners.

Two sprays = 2,000 iu D3 and 50 mcg K2. There are 200 sprays in the container.

Ingredients: Natural carrier oil (MCT oil), antioxidant (D-alpha tocopherol), cholecalciferol (vitamin D3), menaquinone-7 (vitamin K2).

Hi, I have used numerous supplements over the years, but have finally found a company that is clean, meaning the supplements have NOT got fillers etc in them, it’s called British Supplements, it is slightly more expensive, but at least they work.

Thanks, l have them on my short list from another recommendation. Looks like l will be purchasing from 2 different sites.

I would suggest Nature Provides sublingual as they have less excipients than the Better You sprays
