ππΌ hi, I've been on thyroid S on and off for a couple of years; I have Graves' disease, diagnosed 12 years ago (orbital decompression 6years ago and thyroidectomy). I've recently been on hrt but decided to come off it as it was interfering with my thyroid medication. Unfortunately I also bought a new supply of Thyroid S at this time. I say unfortunately as now I'm finding I have symptoms such as eye pain, sore joints, heat intolerance at night, interrupted sleep, mood swings. I wonder if this could be an issue with supply or whether ndt in general can cause flares with Graves patients. I also wonder if this is perimenopause related.
I've just ordered a blood test to check my levels are ok but have tested four months on this dose (different supply) and they were fine (tsh 0.04, ft3 5.3 and ft4 14).
Any thoughts or advice greatly appreciated π

Hi Nadine 70, have you had your vitamins checked recently? I definitely think lack of B12 affects my TED. Iβm also trying black seed oil, plus Lutein (but too early to say if itβs helping). Can also sympathise re perimenapause, as I sometimes overheat in the night. I find magnesium helps me sleep. Lack of sleep makes my anxiety so much worse! Sorry, I have no knowledge of NDT to advise. Hope you feel better soon! π
