Have just found out that there’s a shortage of Thai Thyroid, evidently they’re still in production but in limited quantity due to African Swine fever in Southeast Asia, it may take up to a year to get back to usual production. Thai NDT brands have also increased their prices.

There have been a few posts recently about Thai NDT and it's availability. It's difficult to know exactly what's happening as these reasons have been given:
1) The Thai government require NDT licensed and the manufacturers aren't willing. TR brand stopped production earlier this year, Thiroyd is currently said to be stopping production and once suppliers' stock has gone that will be it.
2) Thiroyd manufacturer is waiting for enough orders to do a production run.
3) 'Big Pharma' has bought out Greater Pharma who make Thiroyd and obviously don't want to continue with NDT.
4) Thyroid-S is the only one still in production but the price will continue to rise.
I panicked and ordered some more from Thailand, although I have 3 months supply left. It has gone up by over 50%, but works out at 4p a day. The NDT from USA worked out at nearly a pound a day, and then did not work at all.
A worrying situation as I know I would not be able to cope on T4 alone!
