I have just been prescribed Mayne Pharma T3 5mcg meditation by the NHS. I did try Sigma 5mcg T3 previously but had to stop it as I developed a skin rash with stabbing and burning pain.
I normally have ThyBon Henning 20mcg and cut into quarters as I only need 5mcg twice a day along with 75mcg Levothyroxine. And I am good in this. I have a T4 to T3 conversion issue. This has been proven with low T3, high T4 and high TSH blood results. Also I had a DIO2 gene test which was positive from one parent.
Has anyone had success with Mayne Pharma 5mcg T3 please.
Many thanks to people on this wonderful forum 👍

Unfortunately not. I’ve requested this and been pushing for weeks on supplying ThyBon Henning. Answer is no. They want to try me on Mayne Pharma now. I’m not that good when changing brands with T3 it seems.
Wanted to see if anyone has issues or good news on Mayne.
See if you can find out difference in price if the two
Thybon Henning as an NHS special prescription is likely to be far higher cost than direct from Germany. But it may still be significantly cheaper than the Mayne 5mcg, if cost is similar to price charged to supply Sigma Pharma 5mcg to NHS
I have. The invoice at the NHS Pharmacy was still attached. The Mayne is £115 for 100 5mcg tablets, which will last me 50 days. Whereas ThyBon Henning 20mcg 100 tablets are £30. Which will last me 200 days.
I pushed and pushed for ThyBon Henning but they said they couldn’t supply it for me.
Thybon Henning would likely be much charged at much higher amount as an NHS special prescription....possibly at least equal in cost to the three UK brands. (£206 for 28 tablets)
I have never taken Thybon Henning T3. I have taken Mayne, SigmaPharm, Liotir, and compounded long acting T3. I am now taking three 5mcg Mayne a day and I do well on it. I started my T3 journey on Mayne. I find the Mayne equal to the Liotir. Liotir is a liquid from Italy. I could not tolerate the SigmaPharm. I am also very sensitive to medication changes. I really like the Mayne and my prescription is for Mayne only. My only problem with the Mayne T3 is that they do not split well. One of the halves tends to crumble. Good luck.
