Please can someone comment on my results need to be prepared for endocrinologist on Tuesday.

I’m currently taking 175mcg of wockhardt brand Levo.

I’ve been getting heart palps so I’ve just had a recent blood test and here are the results;

TSH 0.51 range 0.38-5.50

T3 5.1 “ 3.50-6.50

T4 15.1 “ 10.00-18.70

Serum iron 12 “ 9.00-30.00

Serum ferritin 73 “ 22.00-322.00

Results back in January and taking Teva Levo

Tsh 0.7

T3 4.9

T4 16.8

Serum iron 10

Serum ferritin 76

I’ve been supplementing my iron for months.

Help and advice please, do I still need extra t3 or Levo increase?

I’ve a endocrinologist phone appointment on Tuesday. I’m struggling to source workhardt Levo and wondered what Aristo was like and easy to get on nhs

Thank you.

Do you have Hashimoto’s?

Couldn’t see any thyroid antibodies tests or details on profile

3 months ago vitamin D was too low

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu....

Aiming for at least around 80nmol and around 100nmol maybe better

Needs retesting

vitamindtest.org.uk

Ft4 57% and Ft3 only 54% through range so yes you need dose increase in levothyroxine

How much of a Levo increase? Last time I upped my dose to 200mcg my t3 result got worse.

I’ve probably posted those results over 8 months ago at least.

My iron is slow progress but I’ve had to constantly fight for iron from my gps, it’s the only stuff that increases my iron, over the counter never maintains my levels. Gp just says my levels are normal and they don’t seem to care that I go up and down.

Vitamin D she did not do that but I always supplement and they class that as normal too.

I do feel the wockhardt brand has help my results become a little more stable than the Teva ever did. But I seem unable to tolerate t3 in any form or amount.

So what dose should I look too?

I do have hashimotos.

My thyroid gland has got a lot smaller since having my daughter and during pregnancy it was swollen with a nodule which has now gone.

Thank you.

Suggest you get vitamin D, folate and B12 tested

vitamindtest.org.uk

How much Vitamin D do you supplement?

What about magnesium and vitamin K2 mk7?

Do you supplement vitamin B complex or B12?

Are you on strictly gluten free diet?

Have you had Dio2 gene test?

I take all the above and all brands recommended on here, I also take zinc and selenium.

Folate, b12 and vit d all done in January so I’ll have to wait before my gp will allow those.

I’ve not had the dio2 test.

I suffer from histamine intolerance very Severe case which results allergic reactions. My body is very sensitive to food and external factors.

Perhaps consider doing DIO2 gene test...can help in argument for NHS funding of T3

Are you seeing endocrinologist to request T3 trial?

Roughly where in the UK are you?

Some CCG areas are worse than others

I’m in yorkshire, I’ve been given various brands of t3 and reacted to it. It made me feel more alert but I could not get passed the increase in anxiety, weird warm feeling I got upon taking, and heart palps and then I could not sleep. I got lots of advise on here. Plus I was only given a small supply so nervous I’d need it and not get anymore. Most of the endos where I go won’t see a t3 patient and their understanding is poor.

They just look at TSH and say I’m within range.

It takes at least a year to get use to T3.. plus lots of experimenting on what dose and how many doses per day

But necessary to start very very slowly. 5mcg or even smaller

Personally I started on 1/8th of 25mcg tablet (speck of dust) twice a day.

I think if I can obtain another t3 script I’ll trail dust again but I did feel awful. Lots on my previous posts as had such a struggle. What t3 do you take and are you in the uk?

I started on Uni Pharma from Greece (Was very good)

But then NHS agreed to fund after Dio2 test result

Started on Mercury Pharma - fine, but didn’t want to stay of that brand once there was choice (as they were responsible for vast price hike) and only supplied loose in pot and very short “use by dates” too

Changed to Morningside. Been on that ever since. Details on profile of dose and timings

Teva T3 is lactose free

I’ve had Mercury pharma had ambulance round within 30mins due to reaction nearly blacked out. But I took 10mcg and did not decrease Levo and that’s advise from my endo.

I then took it into my own hands with dose. I then was given sigma pharma 5mcg but I took half still reacted. I then was given Thybon 20 Henning and I’ve not tried it yet due to fear.

I found this when I had a Levo increase over a year ago. My results on 175mcg were worse then also.

My results after 7 weeks of 200mcg are as follows; ranges same

Tsh 0.95

T4 16

T3 4.4.
