Support Group in London

Hi

I've asked this before a couple of years ago now but does anyone know if there is now a support group for hyperthyroidism and or Graves' disease in London? I joined the BTF group but I think it's now disbanded or at least they no longer met up in London, please correct me if I'm wrong.

There is a London thyroid support group The Thyroid Trust thyroidtrust.org/ . This was formerly the London branch of the BTF. Like many thyroid support groups most members are hypothyroid but some were hyper previously. You just missed their annual summer outing, a walk from Broadstairs to Ramsgate.

The Thyroid Trust (as already mentioned by jimh111 ) is an excellent charity and support group.

They were one of the patient groups, with the BTA, who collaborated on the dossier requested by The Lords and NSHE "Liothyronine: Case Details with Clear Evidence that NHS England Guidance on Prescription of Liothyronine is not Being Followed by CCGs", published in November 2018. And this has led to the joint groups having more influence with NHSE regarding liothyronine. It's slow and hard, but we have had some success.
