Are cracked heels a sign of hypothyroid state? I've been having them since I went down with my thyroid dosage but I am not sure it depends on this. Thank you.

Thank you, I didn't see it. Interesting!
That's how I got diagnosed. .!!!!! Went to doc and he is a brilliant doc. Said I was exhausted and overwhelmed with everything. . . Plus i Had got fat!!!! . Last April. He asked me to take off. My runners and have a look at my feet. . . I wasn't having it. . . As they weren't prepared for summer. Never mind spring!!!!!! . They were very shrek like!!! . So off with the runners and once he saw my heels. . Yep that's it. . So blood tests on the following Monday. . . And started eltroxin 50mch straight away. . It has eased as the dose is raised. But as u said. Full time job. And I do notice if I am overdoing it. The heels get crunchie looking. But now dose is higher I don't notice it as much. Hope this helps x
Yes definitely was for me anyway. I had thick dry skin all over the soles of my feet as long as I can remember. Constant soaking, filing and moisturising to prevent the painful cracking. A full time job!
It became even worse when my thyroid completely stopped working, but I didn't make the connection at the time as I'd always had it anyway, and I had so many other problems. After decades on Levo, it instantly vanished when I started taking T3...I was amazed!
Yes it is and T3 usually does the trick to make them super soft.
