Bye bye high heels...

The exhaustion and leg pains have finally put an end to my 4" heel wearing days. I loved my heels and have so many pairs but my thighs kill me in flats let alone the added strain of tottering.

Maybe one day I can crack them out again but for now its slippers or trainers :0(

I save my heels for nights out, that way I dont have to part with my babies, and when it gets too much, take them off on the ride home!!! lol I am a lover of Iron fist and Irregular Choice.

There are some cute 2" heels about, I have got a couple of pairs and do ok in them.

A compromise for me that may work for you.

So true hahaha

Can't do high heels any more, but can't do flats either, 1 or 2 inches are OK 'tho (of course kids being kids now label me with 'another orientation' which I find darn cheeky, and not PC) Think it started when I was proudly going home with first babs and hubby came with my high heels and I promptly fell over forwards. Perhaps I was Vit D deficient then too and my ankles couldn't cope! (despite being only 9 st then... sigh) J x

I can't do heels any more and I used to live in them! The muscles in my entire leg are quite weak and i get tired very quickly. The last pair I bought ... 4 inch leopard print peep toes... Went with a pair of size 14 skinny jeans... Both have been shelved for now..... :(

One day I'll wear them again *sigh

Oh the joys of getting older, high heels went out a long time ago, then you find flats not good either and the hunt starts for one and a half to two inch heels, this latter occupation will keep you occupied for years to come and the triumph felt when a pair that appeals come into eyesight is almost indescribable.... next comes the comfy Sloggie pants, no more chaffing in places we wont mention when in a fit of peak we throw our G strings in the bin, yes folks life can only get better...

Ladies, try Hotter shoes, they are expensive but are so so comfy I can wear 2 inch heels without any problems they have plently of wiggle room in the toes and just bliss to wear. For me who is be set by leg and knee pain its worth the expense just to have shoes I can wear so have a look

Paver shoes are more elegant than Hotter and are also very comfortable.

I've never been able to walk in heels. Not even one inch ones. I'm convinced it is actually a superpower. Wellies for me!

When i was young ( and foolish! ) I lived in stilettos. I don't think that I owned any flat shoes apart from trainers. I remember being 8 months pregnant and walking into town in my black patent high heels. My mother despaired of me. Of course on the way home I complained that my ankles and under my bump ached but was informed that it was my own fault and got little sympathy.

Now that I am older, wiser and hypo I cannot wear any heels, hmm can't even walk for most of the time! Ok maybe not so wiser, last year I bought some navy, beige and pink stilettos that sit in the wardrobe for me to look at. I would like to add that I am not usually so frivolous and I would like to blame my poor old hypo brain for my poor judgement. But at least it keeps my two young nieces happy when they rummage through Aunty Caroline's wardrobe!! X
