No t3 in Portugal

Stupidly mixed up pills and didn’t take liothyronine to Algarve but did have prescriptions in hope of buying some cheaply there. Tried to get in pharmacy Messines but told not available in Portugal.

To allow for losing things in translation, went to private hospital in Albufeira. Told in clear English by a doctor that it’s not available in Portugal. Pretty certain he said Portugal and not just Algarve. He gave me Levo which started on Saturday.

Fine all week away (he said would have build up in body). Muzz and lethargy started Tuesday after got back, even though restarted t3 on Saturday the following week. Hope passes soon.

Bad news for anyone going to Portugal in the hopes!

Yes, it's often said on here that there's no T3 in Portugal. Or Spain.

I was in Venice in June, no T3 there either, pharmacist checked on their website and said it was not available in any of the pharmacies.

Is there a cull going on? Are the people at the top of the tree trying to kill us all off?

It seems as though T3 production worldwide is being cut back, is this so that it can be reintroduced at a much higher price?

There never has been any T3 in those countries, as far as I know. In Italy, they have a liquid T3, but it's very expensive.

Oh, I wasn't aware of that, I couldn't get any anyway.

Not sure if this is of any use, but there’s no T3 available on Curaçao in the Caribbean either... ☹️
