I have been on Synthroid since January. Most of my symptoms are gone, except for the anxiety. It's a constant restless, nervous energy feeling, especially in the morning. Last week, my dr. raised my Synthroid dose because my TSH is still really high. Yesterday, I got labs from a private facility where they test full thyroid function. With my T4 being at the top of the range, is it ok to take a higher dose of Synthroid? I'm so afraid of going hyper again!! Or is it the T3 being on the lower side that is given me the uneasy feeling all the time? Thanks in advance for feedback!

June:
TSH: 27.950 (.450-4.500)

Is that FT4 and FT3 each time? The T4 range is not a normal one.
You don't appear to be converting very well. That could be because of your low ferritin and vit D. Are you with your new doctor, yet? What does he say about your ferritin and vit D?
I have an appt July 5th with new dr so this is the same one that doesnt know anything! He said my iron and ferritin were good so didnt recommend anything. I'm taking a D and B supplement to raise it a little more. That's the free t3 and t4. I tried to add a picture in this reply of the results, but it wouldn't let me. He also said the increase in synthroid should bring up my t3. So I guess i just wait and see.
OK, so first of all, if you have no thyroid, it's impossible for you to 'go hyper' again. You could be over-medicated, but you're a long way off that, even with your increase in dose. Your FT3 is still rock bottom. And, I don't think your doctor quite realises how little your tiny increase in levo is going to raise your FT3.
So, no, it's not dangerous, but the problem is that raising the FT4 too high could make your conversion worse, rather than better. But, you'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Your doctor is oh so wrong about your vit D and ferritin. They are far from good. They are not even mid-range. And taking vits d and B12 won't raise your ferritin at all. But, if you're taking vits D and B12, are you also taking the co-factors? Vit K2-MK7 and magnesium for vit D, and a B complex for vit B12. Without their co-factors, they won't work very well.
