Can you knowledgeable folk cast an eye over my latest results please ?

CRP. 1.91. 0-5

Ferritin 122. 13-150

Folate 19.8. 3.89-20.58

B12. 162. 37.5- 188

D 207. 50-175

TSH. 0.053. 0.27-4.2

Free t3. 6.14. 3.1-6.8

Free thyroxine 17.3. 12-22

Thyroglobulin antibodies 12.7. 0-115

Thyroid peroxidase antibodies 11.4. 0-34

The accompanying notes suggest a high Vit D level could lead to Vit D toxicity.

Having a low Tsh for several years can be associated with osteoporosis

At the moment I take 25mg levothyroxine and 1 and a quarter grains of NDT

Many thanks

When supplementing B12 it results in skewed test results - so your level is falsely high. Your test was the Active Test so shows the amount of B12 available to be transported to the cells where it is needed. How much are you taking ?

VitD is good around 125 - so I would stop supplementing during the summer months and re-test later in the year ... VitD is fat soluble and can remain stored in the body leading to toxicity. Have you had your calcium checked ? VitD improves the uptake of calcium from foods and too much is not good. VitK2-MK7 directs calcium away from the arteries and into the bones and teeth ... 😊

I left off taking b12 for a week prior to the tests.

I take the liquid form - 1-2 drops a day.

D3 + K2 I take 2 x d3(3000iu with 100ug mk7 K2 )

No calcium levels checked

Just a week is not enough - more like 3 months for most people and that is not good for many as symptoms return. I would stop the drops for now and take a good B Complex for maintenance.

6000iu's daily is too much for you at present ...

Thanks for your reply Marz

I also take boron and biotin for bones and hair - so not too sure about a b complex .....sorry, thought I’d added these to earlier post

Yes the Biotin will be in a complex so you could start when you have finished the current pot !
