We have been asked to see if we can find a case study for a possible film covering what has happened with liothyronine. They're keen to emphasise the impact on patients and are asking what the most severe cases have looked like in terms of people with very debilitating symptoms when not on T3 and who were at one point affected by the price hike and withdrawals.
If you would be willing to be this case study and be willing to be filmed, please contact me on enquiries@thyroiduk.org as soon as possible.

I would love to do this to help you, to help us all. BUT. Don’t you think half the trouble is that we are so doubted by our medical ‘helpers’ that we doubt ourselves? Damned if we do and damned if we don’t. We have no confidence in ourselves. I think there is someone on this very forum who it makes it their business to press this particular button. Once you know who it is, it’s not so bad but it does highlight someone close to us enjoying our misery. To be filmed etc would take a lot of guts and confidence. How would film makers deal with filming on a day we can’t get off the sofa? Or worse, what about a day when we are more well but irritated enough to give someone both barrels because our inhibitory reflex has temporarily gone walkabout? This truly is a weird illness. It encompasses one’s whole sense of being; often without any real graspable exterior signs. Who could do this without being personally judged? I salute whomever can undertake this project. I will be interested to follow this up. It’s not me but I hope to goodness you find someone.
I completely understand what you are saying. However, if we don't try and raise awareness this way, there will be a lot of people that don't realise what we have to go through.
My 'history' is on Healthunlocked and I had to diagnose myself when TSH was 100 a few hours after GP phoned to tell me I had no problems. My experience on levothyroxine was awful and I only recovered on T3.
