Blood results , help please!

Hi I post on here fairly regularly and get great advice, so here for more please.

I've been on NDT for quite a while, still trying to get the dosage right. Had a test on 6th March and again on 20th May.

Here are the results;

6/3/19

T3 4.7 (range 3.10 to 6.80 pmol/L

T4 10.4 (range 12.00 to 22.0 pmol/L

TSH 0.03 (range 0.27-4.20mu/L)

20/5/19

T3 7.3

T4 13.1

TSH 0.01

I'm having awful trouble sleeping and I'm constantly knackered.

Depressed and menopausal. I'm taking 5 x NDT tablets a day. (60mcg)

My GP has suggested I take 4 one day and 5 the next, after these latest results.

Shes lovely, she knows what I'm taking etc.

I just don't know what to do. So fed up !

Please advise me .

Because of the T3 contained in NDT, it's not something you can alternate doses with. T3 has to be steady, the same dose every day.

Your new results, with your FT3 slightly over range, I'd be inclined to reduce to 4.5 grains daily to keep you on the same dose every day. Or if you can cut the tablet small enough 4 and 3/4 grains daily see how that goes.

Was ferritin tested this time? If not it really needs to be done, low ferritin can cause fatigue.

Are you losing weight when on 5 grains per day and how do you take them. Your FT3 is over the top range so this indicates a reduction.

It's important to take the same amount of NDT every day not alternate the dose.

What time was you blood test, was it fasting and did you leave off NDT for 10/12 hours prior to the test.

I am losing weight, but I'm dieting. My test was at 9.40am, non fasting. My last dose I took late in the evening before the test at around 11.30pm. I take 3 grains in the morning and 2 after lunch.
