Assuming vitamin D test is in nmol GP should prescribe 1600iu vitamin D daily for 6 months to bring levels to 50nmol
Local CCG guidelines
clinox.info/clinical-suppor...
GP will only prescribe to bring vitamin D up to 50nmol.
Aiming to improve by self supplementing to at least 80nmol and around 100nmol may be better .
Once you Improve level, very likely you will need on going maintenance dose to keep it there.
Getting out in sunshine too

Vitamin D mouth spray by Better You is good as avoids poor gut function.
It's trial and error what dose each person, some need higher dose than average.
I agree with Slowdragon you should properly treat the vitamin D. Doctors tend to be very useless with vitamins so we really have to treat ourselves. These deficiencies can be improved with higher dose, more bio-available supplements, but if you rely on your GP they may stick around for ever.
Sounds like you might possibly have deficient B12? That is the same story. Treat yourself with a good quality sublingual tablets and a good B-Complex. If it's not showing improvement in a few months look more deeply. Some people need injections of B12.
