Hi I'm suffering with a lot of panic attacks that mimic a stroke or heart attack left arm chest pain high heartrate urge for bowel movement then uncontrollable shaking and cold fatigue aches and pains all over my body I have mitral valve prolapse which developed for years ago I get palpitations daily and tachycardia episodes I'm really scared I'm going to end up in a mental home no one will take me seriously and just want to prescribe antidepressants which I don't want I'm sensitive to medication and prefer a natural approach to my health problems but I react to everything I'm trying I'm so fed up and fatigued :( my antibodies seem to be in the high end I have had the OAT test which shows high quinolinic acid my naturopath said possible methylation impairment my periods are up and down low b vitamins last time I checked active b12 it was 122 two years ago adrenals weren't to bad within range I had a Htma which indicates calcium dominance and my vitamin d level is 35

Is vitamin D measured in nmol?

What is the range on vitamin D ?

Assuming vitamin D test is in nmol GP should prescribe 1600iu vitamin D daily for 6 months to bring levels to 50nmol

Local CCG guidelines

clinox.info/clinical-suppor...

GP will only prescribe to bring vitamin D up to 50nmol.

Aiming to improve by self supplementing to at least 80nmol and around 100nmol may be better .

Once you Improve level, very likely you will need on going maintenance dose to keep it there.

Getting out in sunshine too

Retesting twice yearly via vitamindtest.org.uk

Vitamin D mouth spray by Better You is good as avoids poor gut function.

It's trial and error what dose each person, some need higher dose than average.

I agree with Slowdragon you should properly treat the vitamin D. Doctors tend to be very useless with vitamins so we really have to treat ourselves. These deficiencies can be improved with higher dose, more bio-available supplements, but if you rely on your GP they may stick around for ever.

Sounds like you might possibly have deficient B12? That is the same story. Treat yourself with a good quality sublingual tablets and a good B-Complex. If it's not showing improvement in a few months look more deeply. Some people need injections of B12.
