Why?Please tell me what symptoms led you to change the proportions of T4/T3 of your thyroid replacement. What were the results?
Please pm me if you have lots of detail for me.
I was on T4 for 16 years(main issues anxiety,ecoptic beats,tachycardia,fatigue,muscle weakness)
I took T3-only for 2 years(main issues adrenaline rushes,heat instability,mood instability,hairloss,)
I have been on NDT for 2 years(main issues fatigue,weight gain,muscle weakness,heat instability)
I weaned off a low dose of Sertraline 6 months ago, after 18 months on this SSRI,I suspect this may have had huge physical implications. It saved my sanity after a second episode of depression with anxiety disorder(the first was on T4,the second was on T3)

I added T3 to NDT, firstly because a friend brought me some to try, & I liked it. I prefer the combination of both in different ratios, with higher NDT in winter, but feel ok taking T3 only during summer.
I find NDT is necessary for my skin & producing more body heat in winter. I like the flexibility of being able to increase T3 for a day or week with no long term effects when I know my energy demand will be higher, or with weather changes.
Are you making sure your diet is good, & you’re supplementing appropriately? This is essential for helping our hormones work. I thought my whole food diet was good, but making improvements over the past year has allowed me to lower my overall dose by 1/6. The extra supplements cost more than the TH reduction, though other processes in my body aside from thyroid must be benefitting as my hair started to grow better.
Those are the exact reasons to add some T3/NDT to the T4 . I had TT many years ago and had on going symptoms palpitations insomnia aches and pain sweating weight issues high BP irritable and jaundice . An Endo finally heard my plead me and added some synthetic T3 to my T4 . I didn't do well with it . Instead had surges and T3 run out . I'm not a good converter T4 to T3 either . My new Endo added some NDT for my T3 mix to a lowered T4 dose . It was a game changer for me . NDT helped calm my palpitations and helps with many of my symptoms . Since my Endo encourages to dose by *Symptoms* over lab results . I essentially became my own *Lab Rat * .
I hope you get sorted out real soon . Best Wishes .
Hi Naomi8, you certainly have a grasp of what you're taking!
I have gotten off all thyroid ..started with armour which helped for years, then, Dr switched me to synthroid... Allergic..tried armour...didn't work after synthroid.
Many of my thyroid symptoms are symptoms of deficient magnesium.
I am working on building my magnesium slowly with a liquid diluted in Water to sip all day. Dr Carolyn Dean protocol.
The only times I ever seemed thyroid symptom free was when on magnesium.
My dad was a doctor and never could solve my issues but said they were thyroid based. I now believe magnesium deficiency is probably the root cause, due to how all other meds I take deplete magnesium and cause more symptoms, so I get perscribed more pills to take. Getting worse, never better.
Good luck. I'm not a doctor, but like Dr Carolyn Dean's information except for her keto views.
So now you know where the top is Haha. You can experiment with the bottom too, you will start feeling cold, your pulse will drop down to 45 etc. I tweak my NDT every few days because I do allot of sport and burn it at different rates from day to day
