Armour Blood Test Results: These are my latest... - Thyroid UK
Armour Blood Test Results
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also extremely important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if Thyroid antibodies are raised
Have you ever had thyroid antibodies tested?
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. Last Levothyroxine dose should be 24 hours prior to test, (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw). This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
If/when also on T3, or Armour make sure to take last dose 8-12 hours prior to test
Is this how you do your tests?
Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or all vitamins

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random
Extremely important to have good vitamin levels. Frequently we need to supplement
Important to regularly retest levels
Add results and ranges if you have them
I only wanted to know if I increase meds or decrease, I get the same everytime I put a question on here. I won't be having any private testing now or ever as I can't afford it. I also get asked everytime about fasting and early morning test and wait hours before after meds before test. Yes I've got and that was not the answer to my question asked. Can somebody just answer the question I asked please.
As a suggestion, when you post a photo it helps if you first edit it to remove extraneous areas so that it's easier to read the actual results; or better still, as there are only three results, to type them in the post.
Your results indicate that you're taking too much Armour. When taking T3 in whatever form, your FT4 level will generally be lower in range, or even below range for some people; and your TSH will be low or suppressed, as is yours. But your FT3 is over range, indicating that you are over-medicated.
Thank you that's an answer I understand so will lower my dosage.
If you can't afford/don't want private testing ask GP to test vitamins
GP's are supposed to monitor vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 levels at least annually of anyone who is hypothyroid.
Government recommends everyone supplement vitamin D October to April

If you haven't been doing this you might consider getting 1000iu vitamin D mouth spray by Better You from Health shop
Eating liver or liver pate once a week should help keep ferritin optimal
If GP won't test folate and B12 you could just get yourself a good vitamin B complex. One with folate in not folic acid.
