Fertility and no thyroid

Hi everyone,

Hubs and I have recently been having fertility treatment (unsuccessfully even though there’s no issues). Everything goes fine but am not falling pregnant. My fertility doc suggested it might be my TSH, which is suppressed due to cancer (total thyroidectomy). She’s queried whether I could raise my TSH temporarily as optimum TSH for falling pregnant is between 1 and 2, which I have significant concerns about as I feel very well on a day to day basis. I’ve got recent blood results...and wondered if anyone has any tips.

I’m taking 175mcg’s of levothyroxine, b12, calcium/vit d, magnesium - I run hot and have achy hands from time to time but otherwise exercise 4x a week and have quite an active lifestyle with 2 dogs so can’t complain really...

CRP HS - 4.28 (>5)

Ferritin - 96.1 (13-150)

Folate serum - 19.8 (>3.89)

B12 - 261 (37.5-188)

Vit D - 98.1 (50-175)

TSH - <0.005 (0.27-4.2)

Free T3 - 6.19 (3.1-6.8)

Free thyroxine - 21.6 (12-22)

Thyroglobulin - <10 😁 (<115)

Thyroid peroxidase - <9 (<34)

Any advice gratefully received

No..... all your levels look good and you feel good. No one should work to the tsh. When mine was raisedfrom 0.02 to 0.1 i felt and looked dreadful. I would be looking for a second opinion if i was you and i wouldnt risk your current good health status.

Pregnancy needs progesterone, nothing to do with your TSH! have you had all your hormones checked? Fertility treatment is HARD on your body. Find a good natural doctor who understands thyroid and hormones, I don't know this woman but was chatting about her with someone today as she's trained in epigenetics facebook.com/awakeningferti... (I've got no stake in her business or connection with her for full disclosure!)

IVF (if that's what you are doing) can take months and months regardless of thyroid issues, my 1st took 6 cycles and 2nd took 14 cycles, 3rd took just 1 go, so it's just luck, its hard going physically, emotionally and financially. Good luck.
