Had a TT in June last year. Had Papillary Thyroid Cancer. Encapsulated so no further treatment but my latest Tg is reading <5. My TSH is going up, from 0.6 to 1.6 in a Month. I am on 75mg weekdays and 100mg at weekends. My T4 is not converting to T3. T3 is below range. My Vit D. Ferritin and B12 are all below range but Doc says all is fine. Help x

If T3, Vit 3, ferritin and B12 are all below range then everything is not fine.

If you post your results, including the reference ranges, members will comment.

With FT4 half way through range and FT3 below range you are under medicated. I thought when you'd had thyroid cancer that TSH had to be kept suppressed, or at least low. You need an increase in your dose.

Ferritin is below range, Vit D is just at the level below which Vit D deficiency is diagnosed (that level being <30), and your B12 is low. What is your doctor doing about all this? If nothing, then see another doctor. In fact I would see another doctor anyway because of your thyroid results.

You should also have a folate result, as folate and B12 work together.

Yes he wanted it supressed but has gone to India and there is no one else to take his place, just had an urgent scan as my Thyroglobulin is 5, the results are back they tell me but no one to read them, unbelievable, as I say my Dr has no idea at all as I told her to no avail ... :-(

Then your GP can't ignore all this. Ask to be referred to another endo, change your GP, you are being badly let down.

And your GP CAN do something about your dire vitamin and mineral results so chase that up.

Thanks, I am going to have to do something thats for sure, as I say, Floundering. I tols her I feel grim, she gave me the phone number for some Counselling as she said it is all because my Mum has just passed away, what planet are they on ??

Ask her how your Mum's passing has caused your ferritin to be below range, your Vit D to be deficient and your B12 to be low in range, and is counselling going to raise those levels.

Jeez, I despair at some of the things these doctors say :(

I was told as no Thyroid my B12 should be at the higher end rather than lower range x
