Did you manage to get an answer to this? I have Hashimotos and haven't been able to sweat ever. I get redder and redder in the heat and it become so unbareable that I have to lie down as I feel sick and dizzy. Could it be a medication problem (I'm on 100micrg of Levo). I dread asking my GP as he says everything is ok according to my bloods. Its been so hot here today its has meant I have to cancel everthing and lie down with a wet flannel on my forehead. I'm just so fed up of it making me feel so useless.
i can only tell u my expirience and my doc lets me self medicate with ndt... so i increase on symptoms not blood test. its simpally a symptom of being undermedicated. i have now worked my way up to 3.5 grains and have finally started to sweat during my workouts. it actually brought me to tears when i did. but it still come and goes. be careful tho just because u are undermedicated does not mean u can tolerate an increase. it took my a whole year of small increases to hit 3.5 grains. keep close eye on pulse and blood pressure. my normal pulse is mid to high 70s with normal blood pressure if they go low like in the 50s i know i need increase if they are high like over 95 i keep a close eye on it and decrease for a week if nessesary. being hypo we need our free t3 at very top of range. so maby find a wholeistic doc like i did to work with ur symptoms
Thank you ramsfs10. It is useful to know someone else had the same symptoms. What is ndt? Although I've had hadimotos diagnosed about 20 yrs I have always blindly gone along with the doctors advise. I didn't know you could self medicate or ask for more help. I don't understand most of the abbreviations used in these threads and I'm getting very confused with what seems like conflicting advise. I would like to see someone I could trust to have a definitive answer.
