Hi everyone.
Just an update to those of you who already know me on here.
As I had a fairly severe "allergic reaction" 2 days after starting levo, I have decided to give NDT a try.
Ordered Thyroid S.
I know that I have been advised on here that I do not have a thyroid problem, but I am very symptomatic of hypo, and my Free T3 and free T4 are both "low in range", which is not "normal"?
As I understand it (from lots of research), T3 should be above mid range for someone without a thyroid problem, and free T4 should be slightly above mid range for someone without a thyroid problem?
My ranges are FT3 of 43% of range, FT4 30% of range?
Latest test results in September 2018 were:
Free T3 2.62 pg/ml (range 1.40 - 4.18)
Free T4 11.39 pg/ml (range 8.90 -17.20)
TSH 1.55 mIU/L (range 0.30 - 4.5)
Central hypothyroidism?
All I know is that I am feeling very ill, and progressively getting worse!
Extreme tiredness, poor memory, loss of coordination, essential tremor, heat intolerance, anxiety and nervousness, shivering feelings, and a very weird sensation of "something crawling inside my legs"!
Oh, forgot to mention the worsening tinnitus!
Anyway! I am going to give the NDT a go!
1 grain daily for 2 weeks, and then increase 1/2 grain every 2 weeks.
Test again after 6 - 8 weeks?
Is that correct?
Thanks for any help/advice when starting NDT!
